Welcome to our blog. We are documenting our the ups and downs of our travel adventure. We're walking here!
Our vacation from our vacation was a success! Italy was an interesting contrast from Paris from its climate to its architecture to its people.
Seth and I have been in Paris about three weeks. When people ask how it's going, the most consistent answer I have is that we're walking around a lot. So "we're walkin here" really does still apply.
So now we’re in Paris trying to settle in. I definitely appreciate how much structure helps me feel organized, so Seth and I are attempting to construct some kind of routine.
We’re in Paris! And I don't know how many titles will have French words in them from now on. Probably a lot- I'm sorry.
At the end of my last post, I wrote about having a full heart after a week of being slathered with friendship and love. This emotional state was absolutely true and honest. And there was simultaneous emotional process happening that was heart wrenching and distressing and equally true and honest.
Just to locate us geographically at the moment- Seth and I are in Atlanta, which from the last blog post makes it seem as though we went nowhere. However, we just returned from visits to Nashville, TN and Houston, TX, so there has been movement.
In general, I consider myself a "shutter-downer" emotionally. When I start to feel a lot of feelings or things are getting particularly intense, an emotional shut-off valve kicks in and I just go about my day.
When we started posting about the trail, our friend, Sally, said she lived near the trail and would be happy to help us out when we passed through NY. Since we jumped down the trail, a visit with her arrived sooner that we thought.
Well, folks, I may have spoken too soon about Seth's feet doing better. I mean, they have been- at least the injuries that took us off the trail before, but other issues have emerged.
